Be A Two-Way Player

When Adebayo hits the floor, the Heat can rely on solid defense and positioning within five feet from the rim; he’s a tough, relentless rim protector in the making, once he solidifies his role within the team.

And eventually, he can be all that and more. With Adebayo on the court, the Heat rank as their best defensive rating lineup with 238.00. He is evolving into a fast, versatile transition player, that can work well on both ends of the floor.

Defense isn’t everything for him either. He has shown flashes of brilliant offense for a rookie, with great floor spacing that slithers those pick and rolls to perfection.

Adebayo shares another surprising stat that bodes well for the future of the Miami Heat.

With him on the court, the Heat rank as their best offensive rating lineup with 203.00. The former Kentucky star gleams both offensively and defensively; something that is rare coming from a big young guy in his rookie year.

Of course, this year with the additions of Mo Bamba and DeAndre Ayton, the competition will be more stiff, but it isn’t bad for a player that was defamed a reach in the eyes of NBA analysts.

He still has a ways to go but can easily develop his two-way game, especially if he wants to reach the likes of an Anthony Davis or Draymond Green. The uplifting outline is he can achieve all that after an impressive rookie year.

An agile big with quick feet and athleticism? Miami found quite a gem in Adebayo.
