The Good, Bad and Miami Heat Culture: Finding momentum
Heat Culture
Between just two games this week, there were some great moments for the Culture.
Former Heat assistant coach David Fizdale was across the court as Knicks head coach, and he and Wade shared a moment after the game.
Fizdale was an assistant with the Heat from 2008-2016, leaving the Heat the same year that Wade left for the Chicago Bulls.
"“He really was the glue in our coaching staff,” said Wade. “He meant a lot to this organization and our championship run that we had here.”"
Then to add to the emotional evening, Chris Bosh was in attendance. Everyone was so happy to see him, especially Spoelstra (who almost picked him up after the game because he was so excited).
Bosh had blood clots and multiple doctors — including the Heat’s team doctor — diagnosed his case as a career-ending injury.
After a difficult departure seemingly infused with a little anger towards the front office, Bosh was of course still welcomed back to the arena with open arms, by fans and the team alike.
"“It just reminds you what a great league this association is,” Spoelstra said after the game. “You want to develop meaningful relationships with people at the end of the day and have great memories.”"
And after the game against the Trailblazers, Wade and CJ McCollum swapped jerseys in respect of Wade’s #OneLastDance.

Needless to say, it was an emotional, yet wonderful week of postgame interactions; one that truly showed the reach of Miami Heat Culture.
Here’s to an upcoming week full of more successful Miami Heat Basketball.
