The Bad

Cross your fingers, but all things considered, there is not much bad going on with the Heat right now. Of course, any team could get better, but this team has come a long way since where they started this season.

The one issue right now that Spoelstra faces is how to handle the rotations with both Wade and Waiters active. While they both play the same position, they bring different things. Wade brings his leadership and veteran skill, while Waiters brings energy and a you-can’t-touch-me kind of confidence.

In an article for the Sun Sentinel, reporter David Furones asks a valid question:

"“Could Wade and Waiters, who are yet to ever play together, find minutes on the floor at the same time and the solution comes with moving someone else from their current role?”"

I believe they could find minutes together on the floor, but what that looks like and for how long is yet to be figured out. This season is about a lot of things for the Heat: Wade’s #OneLastDance tour, Waiters Island, the young core and the future, as well as making the playoffs.

Right now, they are still in the process of finding a balance, and that will take time. Once again, this is not the worst thing. In fact, it is great that everyone is finally healthy and available.

The question just remains as to how long it will take to balance all of the components of this team and season.
