No. 1 – Trade idea sending Wayne Ellington to the Philadelphia 76ers

In this potential trade idea that sends Wayne Ellington to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat acquire a proven stretch four in Mike Muscala and a gritty center in Amir Johnson, pairing two second round picks with those big men to acquire the 3-point sniper.

The Sixers have had a plethora of internal issues all season long. Ranging from the GM disaster this past summer, Markelle Fultz becoming a generic brand version of himself, trading two great role players for an insane Jimmy Butler, and now there may be possible Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid drama.

The only way this continuing craziness doesn’t catch up with “The Process,” is if the Sixers finally step up in the postseason, and to make that leap, they may need another guy to help J.J. Redick and Landry Shamet help contribute from the perimeter.

Ellington may be that difference maker that Marco Belleneli was for Philly last season, when that Italian stallion destroyed Miami, kicking the Heat out of the playoffs.

As for the Heat, getting a few big men on 1-year deals to help with depth isn’t a bad thing whatsoever, especially since one of them is a poor mans Kelly Olynyk (Muscala).

The two second round picks is why I pull the trigger if I’m Miami, they don’t really need Ellington over the next few years, so getting potential young talents in the near future makes more sense, especially with their hypothetical rookie contracts.

Our next move will help a team that has already tried getting a perimeter player to improve their porous offensive team.
