In this trade idea, the Miami Heat send Justise Winslow, Hassan Whiteside, and Wayne Ellington to the Orlando Magic, in return for, Nikola Vucevic, Evan Fournier, and Timofey Mozgov.

The Magic have been looking for a point guard since Penny Hardaway, which they finally find here in Winslow. And while many readers are definitely distraught from moving Winslow, swapping Whiteside for one of the best centers in the league this year in Vucevic is an ideal move, not to mention, the upgrade of Ellington for Fournier is fantastic (don’t google Fournier).

The pairing of Vucevic and Fournier on Miami would allow the Heat to be a more complete team, solidifying them as a tangible playoff opponent for the next few seasons.

The potential starting lineup would be Dragic, Fournier, Richardson, Johnson, and Vucevic. Obviously, that doesn’t give much wiggle room for Miami to grow on the defensive end, so this move would probably lead to one more, possibly moving Waiters’ elsewhere.

My last point on this trade would be that the Magic would truly be enamored by the perspective idea of Winslow being their new point guard, and may even throw in some unprotected 1sts for his talents, so that is something to think about.
