Stay healthy

There’s a major luck component here, as merely gameplanning or strategizing to stay healthy is definitely not a thing.

With huge portions of the season missed already by Goran Dragic and nagging injuries through the season afflicting the rest of the roster (Adebayo is the only player to have appeard in all 67 games), the Miami Heat haven’t had a great track record of dodging fate’s whims when it comes to health.

If luck is a thing, however, and we surely know that it is, maybe the Heat have used up all their bad fortune and they can coast into the playoffs at full strength.

That’s asking for a lot.

On the plus side, the Heat are in fact fortunate to have a roster with depth and interchangeability at all positions. They’re not exactly the prototypical positionless team, but in some matchups they can probably pull off some reasonable facsimile.

dark. Next. Is the Winslow-Waiters backcourt the right move for the Heat?

Sometimes you have to make your own luck in life and in the NBA, and if the Miami Heat cannot keep their roster healthy after finally getting back to full strength for the first time this season, the Heat may have to find a way to do just that.
