The Bad

In that same game against the Bucks in which Winslow had his best half of the season, the Heat managed to lose the 20-point lead they held going into halftime and lost the game 113-98.

While it was not as clear a month ago, the Heat are trying to secure a playoff spot. If the playoffs began Sunday after their win against the Charlotte Hornets, the Heat would have to play the Bucks in the first round. While many Heat fans probably do not expect this team to win a playoff series, losing that lead and game against the Bucks did not help any hope.

In fact, according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, no team in the history of the NBA has ever done what the Heat did.

While the Heat have found somewhat of a stride in the past two weeks, it is performances like this that are a reminder of how much this team still lacks consistency. The team is 7-3 in their last 10 games, with their chances of making the playoffs up to 50 percent, according to FiveThirtyEight.

While those chances have increased, the Heat still have the ninth-most difficult schedule left, according to Tankathon. That includes another matchup against the Bucks, along with two games against the Celtics.

Regardless, one of the better things this team has done is surprise fans this season and win some games they probably shouldn’t, so one can hope they will do the same in the coming weeks.
