The NBA 2K League season is starting to get really tense and especially for Heat Check Gaming. Here is how I see the tension playing out though.

Heading into week eight action, Miami Heat Check Gaming is currently sitting with a record of 4-5 on the season, with seven games remaining before the end of the season and the playoffs begin. The current standings have Miami out of the playoffs, but with most teams having seven or eight games remaining, those rankings are indeed fluid. It’s going to take some gymnastics to get the Heat into the fray, but with a somewhat front-loaded schedule, they’re poised to get the job done.

Imagine a tournament with group play to determine who makes it into the bracket. Now Imagine there are already five slots taken by the leagues elite, leaving three groups to fight over three spots.

Each group will only have one team represent them in the bracket. That’s what we have here at about the halfway mark of the regular season.

League Elite:
These are currently the top five teams in the league who have been convincingly beating teams. Barring an act of God, these teams will remain in the playoffs even if they don’t maintain their higher seeding.
