Honorable mentions

Here are some other redemption-type projects the Miami Heat could look at this summer, or other veteran free agents that could help them at positions of need. Here is a quick rundown of each:

C Justin Patton

Young guy that has not been given much of a chance in the league due to injury. Would make for a nice developmental center behind Adebayo and Hassan Whiteside, with high upside to boot.

SG Malachi Richardson

Nice 3-and-D prospect who also has not been given much of a chance, but shined with the Kings when he did.

PG Isaiah Briscoe

Could fit in nicely as a developmental point guard behind Winslow. Impressed the Magic before they were forced to release him at trade deadline.

C Angel Delgado

G-League rookie of the year is a longshot because the Clippers will likely want to retain him. Put up ridiculous games in the G-League.

PF Anthony Tolliver

Good spot up shooter. Easily the oldest player on the list but would fit in as a better Luke Babbitt.

SG Davon Reed

Great 3-point shooter, and from the University of Miami. Might be resigned by the Pacers.

C Marquese Chriss

Has a lot of issues on the court, but if anyone could fix him, the Miami Heat could. At times he has looked like one of the worse players in the NBA, but his athleticism is undeniable.

PF Alan Williams

An amazing rebounder that would be an absolute bargain for the Miami Heat. Would fit in perfectly at center or power forward on defense.

PF Tyler Lydon

An especially under the radar power forward prospect that could really knock it down from 3-point range in college. The Nuggets lack roster spaces and the former Syracuse player could be on the move.
