In other aspects, Olynyk could also stand to be more aggressive. One of the things that helped him to shine in Boston was his do everything hard mentality. Some people even ventured to call him a dirty player, but it just seemed as though he wanted things more than the opposing players and was willing to go to any extreme or lengths to get them(apologies to Kevin Love).

If Olynyk is more aggressive offensively and overall, reverting a bit back to his Boston days, that would be a good thing for the Miami Heat. That is why being a more aggressive player should be one of his goals heading into next season.

Take More Three-Point Shots

Olynyks second goal for next season should be to increase the amount of three-point attempts he has per game. Last season he attempted four per game, which ranked sixth on the entire team. He shot 35.4 percent from distance though, which ranked fifth on the team.

Olynyk can help the Miami Heat, a team bereft of consistent long-range shooting this past season, by putting it up more from distance. He only trailed Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson, Wayne Ellington, and Justise Winslow percentage-wise and while two of those guys aren’t even apart of the team any longer, he had slightly more attempts per game than Justise Winslow.

If Olynyk wants to eke out more of the minutes left in the absence of the since traded Hassan Whiteside, he could do so by putting up the trifecta successfully on a more regular basis this season. That is why taking more three-pointers should be his second goal for this upcoming season.
