Another playmaker

The promising look for Bam Adebayo is that besides being an up-and-coming top center in the league, he also has the skillset to become a true playmaker for the Miami Heat.  One that can catch opponents off guard in transition plays.

Besides being a main presence in the paint defensively, we can see his impact on more areas of his game including a multitude of fast-paced breaks.  An all-around player that can integrate well with different offensive plays. Whether its pick and rolls or isolation plays.

A stronger Adebayo is just going to become a very useful asset when given more minutes and responsibilities.  His jump shot might require more work but judging by his surprising improvement from his first year to second, this year could be another breakout role for Bam.  In an expanded offensive role, this could be exactly what he needs at the right time.

With Jimmy Butler now the vocal leader of the team, defenses will immediately draw up defensive plays to limit his production bringing down the ball.  But with other playmakers on the team, Dion Waiters and Justise Winslow included, Bam can also be a welcome addition to add more firepower to the Heats offensive scheme.

Bam Adebayo is somewhat of a unique asset considering his position.  Adding a playmaker to the list of attributes only solidifies his threat.  As the NBA now often prefers small-ball lineups, he becomes the perfect candidate for the small-ball center.  Someone who can switch on defense and space the floor offensively. Now allowing him to control some of the major action creating the play, his assists and attention can become a surprise to others who continue to doubt him.
