The Question?

What this says is that although Beal could provide a boost in star power, scoring, and shooting as an individual player to the Miami Heat, is he worth sacrificing multiple players that fill all of the ancillary duties and roles that some of the previously mentioned players fill for the Miami Heat? It seems silly to ask because as mentioned, we are talking auxiliary and ancillary roles here, but these are important roles for any team and an important question to ask.

The ultimate question to consider if you’re the Miami Heat  is “does what Bradley Beal brings, compensate for all of the little things that we will be losing by sending out the multiple players that we know it would take to land him?” I don’t know the answer to this question, but there is a direction that is being leaned to more than the other.

While Beal brings scoring, shooting, and a really decent all-around floor game, 25.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists across and while playing in all 82 games for the Washington Wizards last season, is that enough? Would that compensate for the things that at least two, perhaps even three or four, of the Miami Heat’s very key role players help provide this team with? I think the answer is no.

What the conclusive message is here is that although Beal is a very productive player, who could definitely help the Miami Heat and especially alongside Jimmy Butler, if it means giving up more than one player that has a meaningful role with the Miami Heat, it isn’t worth it.
