The Miami Heat will be the gift that keeps on giving this season
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro’s performance would’ve been hidden from the masses as well if it wasn’t for the fact that he came off the bench to hit his first six shots of the game for the Heat. He did so in accumulating his first 16 points against the Hawks. Heat Nation already knows he’s a bucket, but maybe now fans of other teams will start to take notice of the Kentucky product.
Kendrick Nunn went off against a Houston Rockets team that was starting both James Harden and Russell Westbrook, dropping 40 points along the way! Ask your friends who are fans of other teams if they even heard about this game.
If by some miracle they say yes, ask them if they know the name of the player that dropped all those points. I promise you the answer is no. Here is the point as we close.
There aren’t three other teams that are certainly better than the Heat in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. While you can’t argue with anyone that looks at the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks as the best in the conference at the moment, that’s about where it stops. The Miami Heat are a very good, deep, and versatile team this year.
Even with all the James Johnson and Dion Waiters drama, the Heat keep chugging right along with one of the most talented top to bottom rosters in the league. They will be putting all other teams on notice, as they make their way to a top-four seed in the eastern conference.
Maybe then the media will give them their due, because If you’re sleeping on this Miami Heat team, my best advice would be to wake up!
