NBA Rising Stars Challenge- Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Chris Silva
To be frank, the first three names on this list shouldn’t surprise you at all. With the Rising Stars Challenge being reserved for first and second-year players, you oftentimes forget that Herro, Nunn, and Robinson are but first and second-year guys based on their stellar performances this season for the Miami Heat. They are and all three of them should be participating for the Team USA side in this game.
The last name on the list is a bit surprising, but warranted. When looking at the Gabonese manchild we call Chris Silva in relation to a few things about his short career thus far, he has absolutely been one of the best foreign players in the league this season. In the relatively few minutes he’s been on the court for the Miami Heat this season, he’s made a relatively large impact.
While you can be absolutely certain that he knows exactly how many fouls he has when entering the game, because he’s always sure to use them ( a player after my own heart), he plays with a relentless effort that oftentimes leads to him using them. Chris Silva fits the Heat Culture to a tee and although on a two-way deal to begin his career and the season, he should never ever see Sioux Falls. He should, however, see Chicago and as a member of Team World in this year’s NBA Rising Stars Challenge.
The Miami Heat are a team that you should probably start taking seriously at this exact moment. If the talent listed above doesn’t do it for you, just catch them in their next game. You will surely walk away with a different mindset, and if not, you were never going to give them a chance in the first place.
