The Miami Heat and NBA may be on a hiatus and rightfully so, but we are still here for the story. Here are the hottest stories from AUCH this past week.

With the Miami Heat and the NBA on hiatus, things have been kind of, shall we say, dry. With the majority of us having to find other things to do to now consume our time, pro basketball has never seemed so far away.

That isn’t just the case with us though, from the many social media to real-world (publicized on social media) antics we’ve seen since the world practically stopped, we are all just doing what we can to ward off going stir crazy. With that in mind though, let us be that which provides you with something to occupy at least 15 minutes of your time. Here are the hottest stories from AUCH over this past week, as we present this week’s Miami Heat Hot Topics.

Duncan Robinson is a breakout star, but not out of nowhere

When there is something or somebody that the general masses aren’t familiar with, they tend to take their opinions and forecast them out to everyone else. Often times, they also tend to group the general public into their scope of intel or information. This is no different here.

Some seem to think that Duncan Robinson simply “came out of nowhere”, but that isn’t at all the truth. Coach Erik Spoelstra has been telling us and apparently warning the rest of the league that he was coming. Well now, he’s here and there isn’t a thing you can do about it.

Tyler Herro should have been the third pick and we all know it now

In the most recent NBA Draft, it was clearly obvious who the number one and number two picks were going to be. What wasn’t as concrete, was who the third guy off the board would be.

While it doesn’t matter now, it really shouldn’t have mattered then either because they got it wrong. While his own teammate, Kendrick Nunn, is probably the flat-out third-best rookie in the league, Tyler Herro was the third-best player eligible to be drafted in this past NBA draft.

That is a fact, based on the numbers and what we can see with our eyes. That’s the message here.

LeBron James reminiscing about the “Big 3” era

Oh, what times they were. The Miami Heat and LeBron James just seemed like a match made in heaven, until they weren’t. It seems like the personification of “wanting that old thing back”, or maybe not.

As mentioned, we are all trying to figure out how to spend our time in these crazy times unseen before, so maybe The King took the opportunity to run through his own highlight reels. Or perhaps, as we all know that nothing is random and without reason for such a deliberate man such as LeBron James, this could have been a message?

Who knows, but we won’t hold our breath. It was good to see him appreciating those special years as so many of us Heat fans do. We hope that all are well and safe as we bid you farewell for the time being and until the next time, this has been this week’s Miami Heat Hot Topics.
