Don’t let Bam and Tyler soak up all the glory, as the Miami Heat’s resident sniper is also a bucket, just one of the 3-point variety.

Duncan Robinson

They’re all coming around now, but we’ve been on this train all year long. Duncan Robinson has been the absolute best three-point shooter in the league this year, especially with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant down. Even when they are active again, it’s a conversation to be had, but especially in a year where none of them are playing.

Bar none, hands down, without a doubt, Duncan is that guy. We knew and know that.

What he has seemingly done with his time off though is work to get even better. Imagine that? So Miami Heat-like to be the best or among that group and continue to work hard, you just love to see it.

He seems to have come back with a few things. He looks more comfortable and capable of hitting the jump shot from multiple vantages and platforms now than prior to the suspension.

He was a terror before, but something about the way he is moving and hunting looks now just looks a bit different, in an advanced sort of way. That’s what I believe we are looking at.

Secondly, he has seemingly become even more comfortable putting the ball on the deck. When you shoot it as he does, defenses will try to make you shoot any shot except the deep one.

He seems to be learning how to make them pay either way and again, you just love to see it. Look no further than last week’s games, where on multiple occasions, Duncan put the ball on the floor after being run off the deep shot and finished at the cup or found a teammate for an open look.

Once he is consistent in his counter moves, be that his drive game or his dish game, you can wrap it up. Duncan will go, immediately, from very good to elite, just like that.
