The Miami Heat have missed Kendrick Nunn for several contests during the bubble. Does that illustrate how expendable he is?
Kendrick Nunn is the most expendable
Kendrick Nunn has missed his fair share of time across this bubble experience and for a myriad of reasons. At first, he had to wait for his coronavirus bout to subside, while his most recent absence was labeled as a “personal” reason.
While none of that matters in the grand scheme of it all, it did allow other players the opportunity to shine in his absence. It wasn’t “him not being there” literally that has made this so, it’s the fact that other players have seemingly been more effective in his role than he was or has been while on the floor.
Also, with all of the trade talks and rumors surrounding the Miami Heat, one of their younger guys will probably be traded if a transaction happens. Kendrick Nunn is looking like the guy that is most expendable.
You can’t trade Herro after what he has done in the bubble and if you do, it better be for a star player. You can’t trade Duncan, the best shooter in the league, as to lose him and gain anything is a neutral move.
He is one man floor spacing and apart of what makes this team so attractive to any potential player that might come. It’s a cool catchphrase but it also just so happens to be the truth, the Miami Heat run on Duncan.
That’s why Kendrick Nunn is the most expendable, not because he has lost value or isn’t valuable, but because the other two have just made themselves that much more priceless. That’s why.
There are probably a few more things lurking around in the crystal ball about this Heat team, but these were the most imperative. We shall see how things play out as we progress through the postseason. Let us be the first to tell you though, or the 1000th person, we can’t wait for it all to begin!
