The Miami Heat are always going to work as hard as any team. That’s how they win, even when they shouldn’t because they aren’t as talented as the opposing team.

“Hard Work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard”

The Miami Heat aren’t the most talented team in this series. Body for body and man for man, you would probably take Milwaukee’s roster. When it comes to the top-end talent, you would probably also take their best players over the Miami Heat’s best players.

Here’s the thing though. All the talent in the world can’t account for someone who is willing to flat-out outwork you. That’s what the Miami Heat have done all year long, all playoffs long, all series long, and have always done it throughout the course of their franchise’s existence.

That’s practically the protein that holds this Miami Heat Culture and DNA together. If you aren’t willing to sacrifice, hustle, and work hard, you won’t stick with the Miami Heat very long.

Giannis can see the work being put in, while he also knows his talent. He can see how the work that the Miami Heat puts in compliments the talent of the players putting said work in and should be able to imagine what it could do for him.

He could probably then double down on that by imagining what he would look like or how he would fare in a system where everyone was going to try to outwork their teammates every day and definitely outwork their opponents. For a guy like Giannis, who has worked daily and extremely hard to get to where he is, that should sound like the ideal move.

Look, this series isn’t over and Giannis Antetokoumpo hasn’t said it himself that he would like to be elsewhere. The Miami Heat will still continue to treat him as the enemy, appropriately so, and we will remain patient until the real possibility arrives that he may eventually and one day choose Miami.

Until then, let’s keep rooting against him and for our team. Either way though and when it comes to making the decision about where he will continue to play his professional basketball, these three things they’ve shown him in the playoffs might just have an impact.
