The Miami Heat learned in Game 4 that less Giannis doesn’t make for a cakewalk.

When Giannis Antetokounmpo left Game 4 with his ankle injury, most expected to see the Miami Heat take advantage of his absence and begin to put the game away. Quite the opposite happened, with the Bucks walking into halftime with a lead over the Heat.

Just because Milwaukee’s without their best player, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be respected. They’ve had to play without Antetokounmpo a few times this season and weren’t the NBA’s number one defense behind his play on the court alone.

The Bucks’ offense just flowed better without the forward, with guys like Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe seeing more opportunities to shoot the ball. The duo finished combined for 50 points.

Whether or not the Greek Freak makes it on to the floor for Game 5, the Miami Heat need to walk in with an air of respect for the Milwaukee Bucks. They squandered that opportunity in Game 4 but will get another chance to make right and end the series on Tuesday.
