The Miami Heat will have a field day from three, on both ends of the ball.
Fans know it’s bound to happen. The Boston Celtics know it’s bound to happen. And most importantly, the Miami Heat know it’s bound to happen: shots will start falling in their favor.
This team is going to get hot from behind the arc like they haven’t yet in this series. I’m calling for a torrential downpour courtesy of Miami in Game 4. Especially after their poor shooting from seemingly the entire roster in their Game 3 loss to the Celtics.
The Heat connected on just 12-of-44 attempts from three-point territory, equaling out to just a 27 percent shooting average. And in Game 2? Miami hit just 14-of-43 deep attempts.
This dry spell can’t last forever, and it won’t. They’re going to continue shooting and spraying from behind the arc until the shots start falling and they find the groove that made them a top-10 team in almost every three-point category for the 2019-2020 campaign.
On the other end, the Heat have seen some success containing the Celtics’ three-point shooting as well. Boston’s boasting just a 35 percent shooting average this series. Watch for a potential bombing of threes from the Miami Heat in Game 4, while still defending the perimeter well.
