Miami Heat: 3 things to watch for in Game 6 against the Boston Celtics
Can Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro have another career performance in Game 6?
The biggest development in these playoffs for the Miami Heat has been the emergence of what appears to be the “sophomore” version of Tyler Herro. After being drafted over a year ago now, the rookie guard made the most of the league’s hiatus, treating it almost as an offseason.
It paid off largely for Miami, who’ve relied on Herro in clutch situations to get a bucket or make the winning play. He’s answered the call mostly but had a career-night in Game 4 with 37 points (16 of those in the fourth quarter), six rebounds, and three assists in 35 minutes.
Then predictably, with an adjustment on the defensive end from the Boston Celtics, Herro was brought back down to earth in Game 5, scoring just 14 and grabbing just three rebounds. What kind of performance should they expect from the rookie in Game 6 on Sunday?
It won’t be decisive of the game’s outcome, but a strong night from Herro would definitely give Miami a boost in their push to eliminate this team, especially if Adebayo isn’t 100 percent. The Heat bench is capable of scoring but still needs someone to lead the charge on that front.
If Tyler Herro can come out and give this Miami Heat team the sort of lift we saw in Game 5, it will take one hell of an effort from the Boston Celtics to push this series to Game 7.
