Miami Heat: 3 things to watch for in Game 6 against the Boston Celtics
Will the Miami Heat’s poor luck from behind the arc finally break in Game 6?
There has been no more notable development in this series than the Miami Heat’s newfound incapability to hit the bottom of the net when shooting from behind the three-point line.
Every one of their three-point shooters has gone cold, literally. Miami’s leading shooter from deep is Derrick Jones Jr, who’s played just 87 minutes in the entire postseason. The 23-year old is averaging 40 percent from deep, albeit on just nine attempts.
Guys like Duncan Robinson and Jae Crowder, arguably the Heat’s best two shooters since the NBA’s restart, are averaging a combined 36 percent from three, and just 30 percent in this series. The team has suffered from this, and the Boston Celtics have only benefitted.
Will Game 6 be the game that things breakthrough for the Miami Heat and their shooting struggles from behind the arc? If they can get back to even 75 percent of their typical output, it should be nearly impossible to not walk out of Game 6 on Sunday as the victors.
The Miami Heat will once again attempt to eliminate the Boston Celtics on Sunday in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals and advance to the NBA Finals to face the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm EST, and coverage will be provided by ESPN.
