Jimmy Butler is a top-15 player, leading the charge for the Miami Heat, and most importantly: he’s winning like he always has.

Somehow, someway, people are still doubting Jimmy Butler. You’d think his leading this team to an NBA Finals would be enough to open some eyes, but alas, here we are.

When he was signed and traded to the Miami Heat, it was thought of as nothing more than another stop on the tour that has been the last three years of his career. After leaving the Chicago Bulls, his first NBA home, Butler spent a year with both Minnesota and Philadelphia.

But what’s important here is that while he was consistently testing new waters, the forward was still winning. He’s always done that and he may always continue to do it.

Butler took the Timberwolves (or TimberBulls, if that’s your thing) to their first playoff appearance in fourteen years. He helped lead the 76ers to one win away from the NBA Finals. In the meanwhile, both teams have gotten worse in his absence, losing everything he puts on the floor.

Any team that’s home to one of the NBA”s top-15 players should always be considered as potential candidates for an NBA Finals appearance. Unless you’re the LA Clippers, who, well they’re cursed or something, because they’ve tried just about everything.

Jimmy Butler has done everything the Miami Heat required to get to where they are and they are only here because of Jimmy Butler. He’s top-15, and he’s a damn winner.
