The Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler has been dominant in the NBA Finals. Like Jordan-mentality dominant.

The First thing you look at is the way he gets it done. From the mid-range to the block, to the driving game, to the free-throw line, Jimmy Butler gets it done like a ’90s All-Star could have only dreamed of.

That’s how Jimmy Butler gets the job done though. That’s also how Mike, THEE 90s ALL-STAR, got it done for the most part.

Secondly, his demeanor is all Michael Jordan. He has no friends, except his teammates, and even they catch is wrath at times.

We all know the Steve Kerr story by now. If you don’t think Duncan Robinson or Tyler Herro have caught at least a little of that energy from Jimmy this season, you are kidding yourself.

Lastly and though associated slightly with his demeanor, would be his will to win. Jimmy Butler wants to win more than you.

It’s that simple. It shows up every night and especially on Friday night.

He literally left it all out there on the court. At the end of the game where he attacked the basket to earn free-throws, he then went and caught a breath on the padding under the rim, before Coach Spo recognized that his leader was winded and got him a timeout.

So, while I am not even approaching the thought of saying he is, is as good, or even is as close to being as good as Michael Jordan was, I am saying that they share a lot of similar characteristics. Who they are as players, their total mental aspects, and competitive aspects are exactly the same.

Next. LeBron James would have dominated in the 90’s too. dark

No, he doesn’t have his skill set but in today’s league, having his heart might be good enough. We shall see, won’t we?

This though has been why I think that Jimmy Butler does have a little Michael Jordan in him.
