The Miami Heat got everything Jimmy Butler had to give this season. That’s what fueled his superlative.

We are also giving out superlatives this year. Who’s more fitting to begin this tradition than Jimmy Butler?

Jimmy’s 2020 NBA Superlative- BIGGEST HEART EVER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND

I can, with 100 percent confidence at this moment, say that Jimmy Butler probably has the most guts out of any NBA player that I have ever seen. Undermanned and outgunned, he literally left it all out there on the court for the Miami Heat in these NBA Finals.

The image of him stooped over the padding under his rim at the end of Game 5 will forever be burned into my mind. No one wants it more and is willing to push themselves harder than Jimmy Butler to get it.

No one. Absolutely no one.

So, again, this season didn’t end as we wanted it to. But that is ok, it’s only his first year.

We aren’t guaranteed to be back, by any means and I know that but with Jimmy Butler in tow, I feel as good about our chances as I have at the end of any offseason outside of the Big 3 era. That includes the Shaq years.

We hate it, yes, that is correct. We shouldn’t like how it ended up, this is true, but there is something we can hang our hats on.

This Miami Heat team isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and you can believe that. We have already received word that both Goran Dragic and Jae Crowder want to be back, so that’s half of the battle right there, retaining your guys.

If they can add just one or two more pieces, another guy who can go get his own and a bit more paint/rim protection, this team will be even scarier next season than they were this season.

That is a fact. Either way though, these have been Jimmy Butler’s season grades and superlatives.

He earned them the hard way and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
