The Miami Heat culture is a strong one. That not only permeates through the locker room, but through the fan base and this is an example of it all.
The Miami Heat are a team built on certain principles. Miami Heat Culture, as praised or panned as it may be at times, is definitely a real thing.
This is what allows a team that shouldn’t even be competing, such as the Miami Heat from a season or so ago, to compete with teams that are supremely more talented. This is what allows a video coordinator, such as Erik Spoelstra once was, to elevate himself upwardly through an organization to not only become a championship-winning head coach but one of the best coaches in the entire league.
It’s this culture that made the second greatest basketball player ever, LeBron James, come to it to learn how to win, his words. It’s this culture that can turn a skinny kid from Chicago, Dwyane Wade, into not only the greatest player that the organization has ever seen but the third greatest two-guard ever and one of the greatest players that the league has ever seen.
The Miami Heat’s culture is a strong one. If you don’t believe me, take the following as an example.
This is the culture that allowed for Jimmy Butler to go all nuclear in the NBA Finals, a historic set off games even and though in defeat, one of the best performances Pat Riley has ever seen, his words. Finally, it is that same culture that would be so strong, so moving, so inspiring, that a fan would do this to himself.
Not only is the act itself amazing and the highest showing of dedication, but it was so well played by the Miami Heat’s social media team. To callback to a mantra of the Miami Heat’s was such an awesome way to go about it.
Sacrifice your body!
Gives you the chills like an Erik Spoelstra presser after a tough win, doesn’t it? Again, we love to see such dedication.
Perhaps it’s a good luck charm for our Miami Heat moving forward. We sure hope so.
The new season isn’t that far away.
