The Miami Heat need help in the paint. Joel Embiid might be the answer if moved, but either way, he might get out of the East, which is also good.

Joel Embiid May Be On the Move

With everything we know about how Morey operates and how he wants his teams to operate, Joel Embiid might not be long for Philadelphia with him at the helm. We all remember what happened with Clint Capela, after he signed a sizeable deal, right?

He was eventually shipped off to the Atlanta Hawks. Right, I know, you all are saying “what does that have to do with Embiid”, as Capela isn’t the player that Embiid is.

You all would be correct there, but here’s the thing, it’s not about the talent of the player for Morey, it’s about the fit of his philosophy, style, and vision of basketball for his teams.

There is a two-fold effect here for Miami. They may have a chance to get in on a deal to land Embiid, wishful thinking you might be saying and you might be right, but who knows?

If they don’t land him though but he’s moved to the West, that’s good too. Then the Miami Heat don’t have to worry about him wrecking them in the paint as much. It’s a win/win as we say in the biz.

That’s just the first effect to think about. Let’s move on.
