The Miami Heat might be still looking into adding Dipo to their team. Here is why they shouldn’t go near it though.

1.       Injury Concerns

Without looking at Oladipo’s medical records, we have no idea what his leg looks like. More than a year since the injury, Victor still doesn’t look right.

I’m all for taking chances on players with an injury history, but they have to be truly special when healthy. At best, Oladipo is a borderline All-Star and to me, that’s not worth trading for when that’s the best-case scenario to expect when healthy.

That is the first reason that they shouldn’t be in on Oladipo. The risk/reward ratio is too great and that is just when talking about what he could actually add to your team.

2.       Contract Situation

With Victor entering the final year of his deal, Miami would have to sacrifice future moves in order to keep him in Miami for the long-term. Is that something worth doing when you have players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George available as soon as an offseason from now?

I don’t think so. The window for Miami to win a championship is now, but with big-time free agents available in a year, the Heat should just focus on internal improvements while bringing in role players to shore up the bench.
