What Precious Achiuwa Can Learn From Bam Adebayo: Art Of Dribble Handoff
The Miami Heat thrive off of their shooting, well, at least they did last season. You would imagine that it would be more of the same this season, well, you hope so.
When looking at the way they got a ton of their open looks last season, mainly for Duncan Robinson, they attained them via the dribble handoff action. Bam Adebayo was on the front end of a lot of those.
Not only is he typically the guy that’s at the top of the key, so he naturally just fits as the guy to run the action but he is extremely good at executing it. Bam has become a master at the action.
With Precious Achiuwa’s multiple abilities, the ability to shoot it or drive it from the top of the key, becoming as good at the dribble handoff action as Bam is would only be another weapon to get himself and his team going.
On one side and with him being as good as he is, if he starts to execute it, it will open up lanes and shots for him. On the other side, his ability to be a threat offensively should only help open up the shot on the other side of the handoff for whichever of his many capable teammates is taking the shot.
They work hand in hand. Bam is an expert in the area, so he can surely teach Precious and with the fact that Achiuwa should practically mimic what Bam does for Miami, it’s key that he picks it up fast.
The Miami Heat are alive! The latest season is upon us!
If Precious can quickly get up to speed on these things and everything else, the Miami Heat’s chances of going back to the Finals exponentially rise. Let’s get ready to be excited.
