The guy in question here used to be a dunking machine. When you thought about poster slamshighlight reel dunks, or top 10 countdowns, this was the guy you thought of.

They guy is a shell of himself.

We hear this a lot and often, it’s a relative thing. It’s one of those semi-figurative things that may not be as dramatic as the saying makes it seem, but where something or someone isn’t as good or productive as they used to be.

For Blake Griffin, it’s 100 percent accurate. Take this as evidence.

I don’t think that the man has dunked the ball once all season. That’s right, in 20 games played for him thus far this season, he hasn’t dunked the ball once.
