3 Reasons Miami Heat Should Stay Away From Blake Griffin: Space Could Be Better Used

If the Miami Heat want to add another guy at this point, they’ll have to create a roster spot for him. Though Meyers Leonard went down with injury, I don’t think that the Miami Heat can use an exception to create another space.

With that being said, they’d have to release a guy in order to make room for another guy. That’s sad, because they’ll likely have to do that at some point, as they need help.

Here’s the thing though, if you are going to cut one of the guys that you originally deemed to be worthy enough to make the team, it needs to be for a guy that can come in and certainly help you, right now.

Blake Griffin doesn’t appear to be that guy right now. As we mentioned, his shooting is great and he doesn’t have the explosion, lift, or athleticism right now.

How can he help you? How can you rightfully justify cutting a guy to bring him in at this point?

You can’t. There’s no way to do it.

In a situation where you are going to have to get rid of a guy already to potentially bring in help, you can’t let that guy be this iteration of Blake Griffin or at least Griffin right now.

Here’s a theory. Perhaps Blake is dogging it in Detroit, not being explosive, not dunking all year, to simply get out of there. Could that be the case?

These were the three reasons why.
