3 Reasons Miami Heat should be all in on Nikola Vucevic: Fills A Need

The Miami Heat have been abused on the glass this year, ranking right near the bottom of the league. No matter which side you look at, offensive and/or defensive rebounding, the Miami Heat could use some help.

Nikola Vucevic has traditionally been a very good to great rebounder, averaging double-digit boards for every year of his career except three seasons, his rookie season and two other seasons where he was just a click under the double-digit mark. That’s one area.

The Miami Heat also struggle to create easy shots or shots period at times. With his offensive ability and size, he’s literally easy buckets waiting to happen.

If he isn’t the one creating, taking, or making the shot himself though, his presence should only help to further open things up for everyone else. Those aren’t the only ways he fills a need though.

While he isn’t a dominant rim protector, by any means, he can help the Miami Heat in that area. With just under a block per game across his career, that rim protection or threat of such a presence could help the Heat tremendously.
