3 Reasons Best Yet To Come For Miami Heat: Victor Oladipo Production & Health

The Miami Heat almost look like a different team since adding the guys that they did recently. Specifically of note here, Victor Oladipo plays an important part in this demonstration.

While his mere presence and ability to get his teammates easy baskets in a variety of different ways has been a godsend and much needed, he can do a lot when it comes to actually scoring the ball on his own as well.

Victor Oladipo Hasn’t Started Scoring Yet

Oladipo hasn’t been the explosive scorer that he can be for the Miami Heat yet. In his two games with the Heat thus far, he’s scored just six and eight points on 5/21 from the field and 1/10 from deep.

That’s not good, but the other stuff he’s done has more than made up for the absence of his own scoring prowess. You expect him to get right in that department as well though and when he does, the Miami Heat go up another click there too.

They Haven’t Had Everyone Healthy

The Miami Heat have, somewhat, dealt with this issue all year, with a combination of dealing with the NBA’s health and safety protocols (rightfully so) and/or typical NBA season injuries. Though that isn’t an excuse, the fact still remains that they haven’t even had a chance to see all of their regular guys, moving forward, suit up at once.

Since the deadline additions, Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Andre Iguodala, and perhaps another guy or so have all missed games and different games, respectively. Thinking about the new guys as well, that makes it all but impossible that all of the guys on the team have actually played together.

That’s the second reason why there is still a ton of potential. The Miami Heat have looked this well, thus far, and still haven’t even been at full strength.

That leads right into the next reason though.
