Should the Miami Heat sit Jimmy Butler and where’s Dewayne Dedmon?

The Miami Heat have seen their fair share of injury over the past few days. Victor Oladipo was injured recently, a well known fact by now but on Tuesday, there was another Heat tweak.

Should They Sit Jimmy Butler For One Of Next Two Games?

Jimmy Butler hurt his ankle on Tuesday night, as he appeared to step on the back of the foot of a Phoenix Suns player. Here is the moment in question.

No matter what happened though, there is a more important question. With the Heat’s injury luck over the last week, with their schedule in mind, and with Jimmy Butler being their absolute engine, should they rest him?

In Wednesday’s second game of a back to back against Denver or in Friday’s game against his former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, should they give him a night off for that ankle? It’s a question worth asking.

Where the **** is Dewayne Dedmon?

The Miami Heat have needed help in the middle, at the rim, and in their big man rotation for a while now. They finally addressed it by going out and signing reserve big, Dewayne Dedmon.

Though he hasn’t played a lick of pro ball this season, would it hurt to get him a minute? You have to trust the Heat’s decisions, however, with Ayton killing them in the paint as he did on Tuesday, he would have helped.

It wasn’t as big an issue as it could have been on Sunday against Enes Kanter, Jusuf Nurkic, and the Portland Trail Blazers, but it could be against the Nuggets and the T-Wolves. Again, you always trust the Spocess, but, the Heat need what Dedmon can offer.
