The Miami Heat need Bam Adebayo to continue to do his best work in clutch

In one weird and injury-riddled Miami Heat season, one of the few bright spots has been Bam Adebayo. While there are still tons of times where he still doesn’t quite go full-throttle, from a perspective of looking and seeking out his own offense, he’s still shown more than enough to continue to be excited about his trajectory.

Again though, the young Miami Heat big has taken a big jump on offense this season, scoring more and doing it more efficiently. Again, though you want to see it more from him and that’s because he’s more than capable of doing do, he has also been more assertive when it comes to creating for himself, offensively.

Part of the credit could go to the vacuum being created for the Miami Heat and Bam by injuries that have, as a result, taken players out of the rotation. But that would short-change Adebayo’s continuous grind to improve.

While there is a plenty to highlight today, for these purposes, we will focus on his work in the clutch. Why is this so important, outside of the obvious fact that it is good to have players come up big in the clutch?

With that question in mind as well, could that factor be huge in helping them close out the season?  Perhaps, but let’s get into it.
