The Miami Heat were the media’s punching bag this season and that’s fine, because they’ll be back.

Mind you and again, it’s totally fine. It’s also worth noting that they are known for disliking Miami and Butler, for what that’s worth.

But, the certain people in question never have anything to say about say… Steph Curry, in example, who is a cocky player too. I know Curry is better than Butler and has more hardware, which gives Curry the right to act like that, but it’s totally worth pointing out who gets a pass and who doesn’t .

Lastly and if we want to talk about being “flukes”, then are we not going to talk about the 2019 NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors? To be fair, you could say that they only won the championship because Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant got injured during the Warriors run that season.

Weird… you never hear a peep about that though. While it’s neither here nor there, in the grand scheme of it all, the point of it all is this.

The national media scrutinizes the Miami Heat and it’s players, especially Jimmy Butler, more heavily and harder than most or any, for that matter. Again, it’s fine, as long as we all know what’s going on, acknowledge it, and live in it when the chips don’t fall in our favor.

Because the Heat will be back. Count on it.
