Miami Heat target #2: Lou Williams

Lou Williams is on the older side but would be a great player to put next to Bam Adebayo for the last few years of his career. His shotmaking is something the Miami Heat need more of.

After playmaking, the next most important skill to put alongside Adebayo is shotmaking. Putting players around him that can hit their shots is crucial.

Williams is one of the best pure scorers in the NBA. He even proved it once again in the playoffs this year when he helped lead the Hawks to an Eastern Conference Finals berth.

He stepped up and took Trae Young’s place in the starting lineup when he got hurt, leading the team in scoring. William’s is nothing short of an absolute bucket.

Williams averaged 11.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists last season. He shot 41% from the field and 39.9% from deep.

In addition, Williams was a super solid playmaker in his prime. During his time with the Clippers a few years ago, he was averaging over five assists a game.

As the sixth man on the Miami Heat, Williams would be able to get a bucket when needed and also playmake for the team’s best players. Adebayo would benefit from both of these skills.
