The Miami Heat trade Goran Dragic, Andre Iguodala, Precious Achiuwa, KZ Okpala, a 2027 First-Round Pick, and a 2028 Second-Round Pick to the Dallas Mavericks for Kristaps Porzingis.

While Kristaps Porzingis may have gotten a bad rep this postseason, he would fit in perfectly with the Miami Heat. Next to Butler and Adebayo, his offense would help the team tremendously.

In the playoffs last year, Porzingis was criticized for spending too much time on the perimeter. Well, with Adebayo holding down the paint, Porzingis could play more freely.

The Miami Heat already have a strong paint presence on both ends. This would allow Porzingis to stretch the floor, giving the Heat another option on offense.

Last season, he averaged 20.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He shot 47.6% from the field and 37.6% from three-point range.

Ever since Kelly Olynyk left earlier last season, the Miami Heat lacked any sort of shooting from their big men. This would take what Olynyk brought to the team and shift it up to another level.

In addition, Porzingis is reportedly unhappy with his situation in Dallas. This move would give him a fresh start with a new team.

His production would be properly utilized next to elite defenders such as Butler and Adebayo. In addition, the Miami Heat would be able to retain Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson in this deal.

If the Mavericks are open to trading him, this deal would see them add a solid guard and two young pieces. Plus, Goran Dragic and Doncic are both from Slovenia, so there’s a real connection there.
