The Miami Heat could use a lot of what Paul brings a team, but his veteran presence would be especially helpful.

In terms of the Heat’s young players Paul could do the same thing he did in Phoenix. He could be, yet another, veteran presence who is in their ears and making sure they are working hard, showing them how to handle high pressure situations.

If the Heat decide to keep the young core they have, the addition of Paul could be huge for the future of players like Tyler Herro, Precious Achiuwa, and even, K.Z. Okpala. I think that Achiuwa will especially benefit from having a point guard that knows how to utilize his athletic gifts, such as easily setting him up at the rim.

Adding Chris Paul would put the Heat right back into contention for one of the East’s top seeds. m In example, adding Paul in Phoenix took them from being a lottery team right into the NBA Finals.

Adding him to a roster that has already proven capable of making the NBA Finals could help the Heat go all the way. Obviously, Chris Paul would be a great addition to this roster at point guard but even if the front office decides to go with someone else, it’s also obvious that the Heat need a starting caliber point guard to help them compete at the highest levels.
