Miami Heat unexpected trade targets: Malcolm Brogdon
Malcolm Brogdon is the perfect point guard to pair alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. His efficient shooting is exactly what the Miami Heat need.
The 28-year-old guard joined the elusive 50-40-90 club just a couple of seasons ago. He’s also a great playmaker at his position that can hold his own on the defensive end.
Last season, he averaged 21.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. He shot 45.3% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range.
In addition, the Miami Heat would get quality role players in Jeremy Lamb and Justin Holiday. Both are great shooters that would light it up off the bench.
While the 54th overall pick doesn’t seem like much it does allow the Heat to fill out their roster a bit. In reality, though, that’s just a little pot sweetener.
Meanwhile, the Pacers get a little bit younger while still having a competent team. Herro could play point guard or shooting guard for them and would pair well with Domantas Sabonis moving forward.
They also get Kendrick Nunn in a sign-and-trade, as well as a backup center in Precious Achiuwa. It would allow them to build for the future while still competing for a playoff spot next year.
