Forwards the Miami Heat could sign: Justise Winslow

Justise Winslow deserves a second chance to thrive after a couple of injury-riddled years in Memphis. Why not bring him back to where it all started?

The Memphis Grizzlies just completed a trade with the New Orlean Pelicans that saw them add Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams. With the amount of salary they are getting, they will have to renounce the rights on Winslow this offseason.

At only 25 years old, Winslow still has a ton of time to develop into a quality NBA player. During his time in Miami, he showed some real promise.

He only ended up playing 26 games in a Memphis Grizzlies uniform. The last time he played more than 30 games in a season was back in 2018-19.

That year, Winslow averaged 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists with the Miami Heat. He shot 43.3% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range.

This shooting ability would fit in beautifully on the Miami Heat bench. In addition, he has the potential to turn into a decent secondary playmaking option.

“Point Justise” was a real thing in Miami for a while. There’s no reason they can’t bring him back and give it another go.
