While teams seemingly figured out how to contain him throughout the playoffs, it shouldn’t be neglected that in the regular season, Forbes statistically had one of the best three-point percentages in the league — at 45 percent on 154 of 341 attempts.

Furthermore, in the Bucks’ 122-108 regular-season finale win over Miami, Forbes scored 21 points with five three-pointers in just 19 minutes.

  • During the 2020-21 season, Forbes ranked tenth in Three-Point Catch-and-Shoot opportunities (Minimum 60 games played), and shot 46 percent from the three-point line, on 1.9 made attempts.

Although much of his game is established primarily from the perimeter, Forbes is an undersized shooting guard with minimal ball-handling abilities. However, while he doesn’t provide much in any other dimensions, he’s still a useful specialist that can defiantly shoot from anywhere.

As Forbes obviously isn’t a top free-agent option, Miami should consider his value under one very critical condition — which stems from the looming contract decision of Restricted Free Agent Duncan Robinson.

With Robinson expected to command between $20-25 million a year for his next upcoming deal, the Miami Heat have the option to match whatever number is thrown at him and retain Robinson at a significantly low cap-hold of $4.7 million.
