Miami Heat Roundtable: Brandon Ingram A Fit In South Beach? – Kenneth’s Take

The Miami Heat need to add a piece or a few this offseason to get themselves back to where they need to be. While there are a few that have been mentioned out there, there are several that might be more effective than others.

Kenneth’s Take (@K_Said_Que)

Brandon Ingram is definitely one of those names that would be at the top of that list. The numbers and figures have been touched on here, so there is no need to rehash that.

What you see with your eyes should be enough to tell you. He is a three-level scorer, with silky smoothness and sneaky athleticism to boot.

He can handle the rock, make plays for his teammates, nail open shots from range, and even attack the cup with dangerous intent. The guy is an offensive force and is only going to continue to get better, it seems.

While he hasn’t begun to touch his, potential, ceiling defensively, his length, athleticism, and will to compete could render him a very special defender as well. He has all the tools to do so, he just has to do it.

With all of the praise being showered on Ingram though, the Heat probably won’t be able to get a deal done for him. For all the reasons mentioned here, New Orleans would be silly to let him walk.

If they want to continue to convince everyone around there that they are building a winning program, they’d better hold on to one of their top players. It’s really that simple.

The Miami Heat still have an interesting offseason before them and every step of the way should be enjoyable to digest. This, though, has been the latest AUCH Miami Heat Roundtable.
