Top options left for the Miami Heat in free agency: Lou Williams

The Miami Heat have a great roster, but it lacks one thing – a bucket. Every team has one player that can just go out there and get a bucket when they need to.

Lou Williams can be that guy for the Miami Heat, and he could do it well. Tyler Herro could develop into that sort of player, but he isn’t there yet.

Though he’s already 34 years old, Williams can still go out there and score with the best of them. The best part about it is that he could step in as the go-to sixth man in Miami.

He and Tyler Hero would be a great duo to bring off the bench. Past that, the Heat would just have to add some defensive-minded bench players to go along with them.

Butler, Lowry, and Adebayo are all All-Star quality players, but if the Heat need a player to get out there and string together a scoring run, Williams could be their guy.

He had another great season last year and even helped Atlanta in their Eastern Conference Finals run. He was traded from the Clippers to the Hawks at the deadline.

Last season, Williams averaged 11.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He shot 41.0% from the field and 39.9% from deep.

This sort of efficient scoring would fit in perfectly off the bench in South Beach. The Miami Heat could land him for cheap, and he would be an ideal fit.
