Players who could lead the Miami Heat in scoring: Bam Adebayo

This is definitely a sleeper pick, but don’t count out Bam Adebayo when looking at potential scoring leaders in Miami this year. The young center could be due for a big-time jump.

Ever since he stepped foot in the NBA, Adebayo has been steadily improving. He’s mainly thought of as a defensive anchor, but he can score the ball, too.

During his time with Team USA this summer, he showed that he can put the ball on the deck and drive to the rim. He needs to bring that aggressiveness to the NBA, too.

Adebayo will have the perfect situation to score a ton of points this year. He has two of the best playmakers in the league right beside him.

Both Lowry and Butler are elite playmakers, and they thrive when they are able to make their teammates better. Adebayo will directly benefit from that.

Not only will he get more room to work down low with the addition of Lowry’s spacing, but the pick n’ roll should be lethal. Whether it’s between him and Butler or him and Lowry, he’ll be one of the best pick n’ roll players in the league.

He’s an undersized center with the ball-handling skills of a guard. That combination is bound to help him find success on the offensive end of the floor.

Adebayo averaged just under 19 points per game last season, so there’s no reason he couldn’t get over 20 this year. If he can do that, he just might lead the Miami Heat in scoring.
