Miami Heat: ‘Culture’ Is Even When The Summer League Team Has The Guts
Miami Heat: Culture Permeates Every Single Portion Of A Team
Every facet of this Miami Heat team includes all wings. That means the pro-wing or the big ball club, while that also trickles all the way down to the developmental-wing or in this case, their current NBA Summer League Team.
A team that features a few guys that have had decent sized moments in the big leagues, Gabe Vincent, KZ Okpala, and notably here, Max Strus, it is showing in how they are playing and how they operate.
While not as experienced as the three aforementioned guys, Omer Yurtseven is also making his presence known in the NBA Summer League. For Yurtseven, it’s been in a huge way.
Those aren’t the most important things here though, the individual play, accolades, and statistical outputs of guys. What’s important here are the team results and specifically, their most recent set of results.
Being down 20 points, at a point, the Miami Heat Summer League team found themselves in a bind. What did they do though?
They did the Miami Heat Culture thing to do, the only thing that this Culture teaches you to do, and the very thing that you should want to see your team do if you root for a pro sport… which is to fight like hell! And that’s what they did.
That’s what the Miami Heat always do. The beautiful thing about this team or culture and in the regular season or summer league circuit, is that no matter who’s on the floor or the roster, they’ll always fight, compete, and never quit.
Again, no matter who is on the floor, as indicated by these same results in what seems like just another trivial Summer League matchup. It may have been.
Heck… that’s all it was, but you know what? The Miami Heat didn’t quit, they had a huge comeback win, and though it was exciting to all the Heat fans aware of the feat, it wasn’t shocking either.
You know why? Because that’s what Culture is… and that’s even when your Summer League team has “the guts”.
