Miami Heat rival #2 this season: Brooklyn Nets

According to most people, the Brooklyn Nets are the current favorites to win the 2022 NBA Finals. They have a very stacked roster with three MVP caliber players at the top of it.

Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving make up what is arguably the best big three ever in terms of pure talent. Due to these facts, they will be a big-time rival of the Miami Heat this year.

Miami has championship aspirations, that much is clear. Well, if they want to have any chance of taking home the title, they will likely have to go through Brooklyn.

If the Heat are able to show that they can take down the Nets, people around the league might start respecting them as true title contenders. Their dominance is almost like a gateway to the championship.

On top of all that, the matchup will be a classic “offense vs defense” game. Miami is set up to be one of the best defensive teams in the league, while the Nets will likely be a top offense.

PJ Tucker and Durant also have an ongoing “feud” ever since this past postseason. Tucker guarded Durant for the majority of their series and things got super chippy.

Both teams will end up being towards the top of the East. Whenever these two teams play each other, expect there to be fireworks.
