Miami Heat: 3 Bold Predictions for Bam Adebayo – Attempts & Leading Scorer

The Miami Heat will go as far as Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, and yes, Bam Adebayo can take them. Apart of that has to be Bam continuing to be able to further exert his own will on the offensive end.

That’s the genesis of these first two.

Bam Will Average, At Least, 15 Attempts Per Game

For a player of Bam’s ilk, it’s simply about getting the shots or attempts up. Some will fall and some won’t, but the theory is that if a player of his ability get enough up, the vast majority will fall or the vast majority of the outcomes will be good ones.

That’s the theory behind it, initially. There is also this though.

If teams know he is reluctant to take his looks, that impacts his ability to make plays for himself and his teammates, his teammates ability to shake loose for their looks, and then, his team’s overall ability to win. He has to take the looks and this season, I believe he will.

Be The Second Leading Scorer

Bam was the second leading scorer last season, so how is this a bold prediction? Well, they didn’t have Kyle Lowry in tow, Tyler Herro wasn’t coming off a year where he should have gotten all the motivation he needed, and Duncan Robinson wasn’t a near-$100 million dollar man.

Any of those guys could jump Bam with a great year, however, the one to be most concerned about is Kyle Lowry. All great problems to have, the thought is just that if Bam is really starting to progress to where he should be as a player and leader on this Miami Heat team, he’ll be the guy that averages the second -most amount of points… or dare I say, the leading scorer altogether.
