One thing each Miami Heat player needs to improve upon

Dewayne Dedmon: Floor spacing

This may seem a bit weird considering the role Dewayne Dedmon played last season. However, there was a point in his career where Dedmon was an above-average three-point shooter.

During the 2018-19 season, Dedmon shot 38.2% from three-point range on 3.4 attempts per game. If he can get back to shooting at that clip, he could be a legitimate floor spacer for the Heat.

Markieff Morris: Three-point shooting

Markieff Morris is already a decent three-point shooter, but if he can become elite, Miami’s bench would be even better. He only shot 31.1% from deep last year, but he shot 38.6% from deep the season prior.

Having an extra three-point shooter off the bench would be huge for the Heat. Hopefully, Morris can be a consistent threat from deep for Miami.

PJ Tucker: Consistent shooting

PJ Tucker has been one of the best three-point shooters in the corner in recent years. However, he has been fairly inconsistent for the past couple of seasons.

The last time Tucker shot 37% or better from deep for an entire season was back in 2018-19. In order to effectively help the Heat, he needs to get those numbers back up.

Tyler Herro: Efficiency

Tyler Herro actually improved in nearly every statistical category from his rookie season to his sophomore season. However, he just didn’t shoot the ball very efficiently last year.

The Miami Heat need Herro to take another huge jump this year if they want to be serious title contenders. He’s going to be one of their top scorers, but he needs to do so efficiently.
