NBA trade targets the Miami Heat should avoid: Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield would be an amazing fit in Miami. His three-point shooting is absolutely elite and he would be the perfect floor spacer next to Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

With that being said, his contract is way too big for the Miami Heat to acquire. There is a pathway for them to pull off a trade, but it would be a lateral move at best.

Acquiring Hield would require the Heat to give up Duncan Robinson. At that point, why even bother making the deal?

Robinson is arguably the better shooter and also a whole year younger than Hield. Add in the fact that he’s on a cheaper contract, and trade for Hield just doesn’t make much sense.

NBA trade targets the Miami Heat should avoid: Kyle Anderson

Recent rumors indicate that the Grizzlies could be looking to trade Kyle Anderson. That being said, his fit with the Miami Heat just doesn’t seem to be great.

Anderson is a versatile forward who can playmake for others and score the ball. However, while he is solid at a lot of things, he does not excel in any one particular area.

The Heat already have more than enough playmaking on their roster, so trading for another playmaker doesn’t make much sense. In addition, he has never been a consistent three-point shooter outside of last year when he was average at best.

The fit does not make enough sense for the Heat to pull the trigger on this move. Leave the Anderson trade for another team this season.
